Hi,

I am very keen on the Kind Diet which is based on the Macrobiotic diet. It sounds tough, but doable. I've also never been a meat lover so I think this diet would suit me down to a tee. I'll let you know how it goes! Anyway - just look at Madonna. If I can look like that I will be a happy woman.

Yes Geno,

This can be a very healthy diet for diabetes. It contains plenty of fiber and avoids high GI carbs. The holistic approach not only helps you stick to the diet, but can also reduce general stress levels; which by itself can be beneficial for your health.

Just make sure that at least 15% of your calorie intake comes from protein. Soy, nuts, other legumes (lentils, chickpeas, etc) and fish are good sources of protein when you are on this diet. Have a look at the article below where they compared different levels of the macro components (protein, carbs, and fats). At the end of the day, choosing the best diet for you revolves more around your personal tastes, so if you like the food types suggested for the Macrobiotic Diet, go for it.
